Greystone House Traditional Farm Shop
The attractive shop has a traditional butchers counter selling their excellent home produced beef and lamb . Daily deliveries of a wide range of fruit, vegetables and dairy produce ensure an exceptionally high standard of freshness and quality.

Freshly baked bread and home-baking fills the shop with a wonderful aroma and the large choice of preserves brings back memories of a traditional farmhouse kitchen. 2l local Cumbrian producers supply the shop with everything from Damson Gin to Handmade Butter, Cumberland Mustards to Smoked Cheese. Every product is carefully selected to ensure that it is of a quality and standard worthy of our recommendation.

The shop also stocks local craft and art work and has an excellent range of hand made cards.

The Lofthouse Tearoom
Relax in the beautifully converted oak-beamed Tearoom where visitors are welcomed from l0:00 am for morning coffee, freshly baked scones and cakes. From 11:30 am to 4.30 pm delicious homemade hot meals are also available. Visitors can choose to have a light snack or a three course meal. Everything in the tearoom is created using the wonderful ingredients from the shop. The cooks aim to provide a mix of traditional local specialities, interesting vegetarian food and indulgent cakes and desserts. A large range of Apple Juices, Iced Teas, Herbal Teas, Lattes and other Coffees are all very popular.

Greystone House has received several Local and National Awards. It was recommended in The Times as a fun and healthy alternative to the dreaded service station (July 2005) and they are proud to be one of Rick Stein’s food heroes. Greytsone House were finalists in the farm shop category at the Meat Traders Journal 2006 Awards and again in 2009. Other awards include:
